Too much of a good thing

We got a load of pine branches, and as you can see, we are full and need a rest.

Hard to reach places

We can go through a lot of exercise in one day. We have to do a lot of gymnastic to clean up in hard to reach places.

Goats are curious animals

We love to see what is going on in other people's life. Here, Titan is looking at the kitchen window. Goats are nosy.

What are the branches doing in the truck?

No matter where the food is, we can find it. Specially the nice fresh smelly pine. Eventually, the pine ended up on our field. That is what we ate the next day but really, I wanted it all that day.

I want a new look

Mom, can I get a tattoo and a earring. Instead of a collar with a loop can I have the loop in my nose?

Not a dog

This is our neighbor's goat. He looks like a dog from far away. It is a pigmy goat. During the day, he comes and join us for a snack.

After the wind, the clean-up

Today we walked around the property to clean up all the pine branches that are scattered all over the ground. This is me and my brother Buster at work.

Bon Voyage!

Mommy left for a long trip to Europe. While she is gone, we get alfalfa and grains but the quantities seem to be larger.

Mommy can we move there

This is a goat's paradise. This place my mom visited in France is the ideal place for a goat. Full of blackberries and ton of weeds.

Poisonous plant

This plant is beautiful but poisonous for goats. Please, please keep them away from it. It is called a rhododendron. Check out the other poisonous plants.

Goats get food poisoning too

Some plants are poisonous to us but we did not find out after we pucked our guts out. Buster ate the most of the plant, (see blog above) and Titan did not get sick. He just had sympathy pain. The foam is coming up to my mouth and it hurts very bad. Buster was the sickest. He was throwing up all day yesterday and today I am the one who feels the worst.

Crunchy multi-grains grains

What a suprise to find that our nightly grains were crunchy. Me and my brothers, we dipped our heads into the bucket and we like that crunchy taste, we had to lift our heads to chew on it. Yummy!

My head is scratching

Please! Please! put something on my head to help me with that constant scratching. This sticky, dark orange gel is helping my head. I need a scratching post or something so I can rub my head against it.

Guess this object

I am not like all goats. I am not a Billy Goat, therefore I do not have horns. Every 4-6 months, my horns grow and they eventually fall. This is one of them. My brother Buster has no horns. Titan has 2 little ones that are growing flat on his head.

Happy Holidays to you!

We made a video of ourselves. Hope you enjoy!

It is freaking cold!!!!

Us goats have a high tolerance to diseases, heat and cold. The last past few days, me and my brothers have been freezing our #%#% off. We made holes in our house this summer when it was hot. Now most of the holes have been covered. The water and the ground are frozen. The leaves and grass are cold to the tongue. My mom put some pines in our field. When we eat it we get a minty winterfresh breath (get it?).

Mohawk are back in style

Today my mom brought another dog home. I think that one is ok but Buster's back hair have been standing all day. It looks like he has a mohawk.

A huge pile of pine branches

Our mom is teasing us with food. There is a huge pile of pine by our gate. Please, please, give us some pine.

Forest of trees without bark

This is one of our favorite past time; eating bark on trees. For doing that, we need to have strong teeth, but out teeth are made to do that kind of stuff.

Stuart's gardener

We tend to clear people yards and backyards but when it comes to our place, we don't touch it. Today the gardener came to clean our house while we clear the outside of our lot.

Dead leaves are good too.

Today we cleared some of the dead leaves. We love to eat them too. We love leaves better than grass and we will eat the dead one too. They just have a different taste to them, that the fresh green ones.

The musical reel

Finally we can play the musical reel. With 3 goats, you need 2 reels. We finally got the second reel, last week. Now it is a question of who is the fastest. We like the reels because we can take naps on them. We like anything up tall and this is the perfect place for us to lay in the sun.

This place smells like a fish store

We went to the river and we saw dead salmons everywhere. It did not smell good so we did not stay long. Poor fishes, they are beautiful but they are not swimming any longer.

Drinking and passing out

I drank this very tasty drink at the bottle the other day.Based on Wikepedia,
this beverage is "mainly derived from cereal grains". That is why I loved it so much. That night I did not feel so good and my mom cleaned our house so we had nice wood chips to lay on. She came outside and called my name "Stuart" but I could not get up and say hello at the window.

Buster is a good eater

Goats in general eat everything, including this piece of material. We especially like natural fiber. Sometime we do not want to eat what is good for us. Buster he eats all the time and everything. He is not picky like us.

Horns or no horns

I lose my horns every couple of months. Last week one of them felt into the food dish. Today, this one is about to fall again. No horn fairy around here. Wish I could get an extra treat under my pillow.

I am a styler!

My mom put this red square around my neck. I was trying to take it of first but then I thought it was cool. I was not happy when she put one around Titan's neck and I made sure I took it out right away. I can be the only one with style around here.

Cornichons = french cucumbers

We are so intrigued by the plantings in the corner of the yard. Last night, mom was chasing Buster around it. He was eating it and she got mad. Not sure what it is but the leaves have a rough texture. We do not care, remember we like anything green.

Juicy plum tomatoes

We eat everything and in the summer we get a variety of fruits and vegetables. Mom just gave us radishes and Buster was the only one enjoying the leaves part. As far as the radish, we did not like it. However we do like tomatoes, specially when they are red and juicy.

We love peaches

Thanks to Scott for giving us some peaches. We love all fruits. Titan is having a hard time eating a peach tonight. Me and my brother Buster had no problem and we ate the pit too. Actually the pit was crunchy. Ron gave us some prunes too. My mom said "we are going to have a lot of fruit trees around here!".

My mom always says "you're such a silly boy"

Not sure what she means by that but when she took that picture of me she was laughing too. I had just cleaned the side of the house and that is what I get from her. A big laugh.

Buster's ear is finally healing

Buster is finally feeling better. He is treated differently and he is now afraid of putting his chain on when we go outside the field. He gets close to mom but as soon as she gets closer, opps he runs. This is a picture where you can barely see the bite. A little piece of it is missing.

Buster's former best friend

I finally got the picture of the mean dog that they call TYSON, that attacked Buster. Hmmm! isn't it the name of some mean boxer that chew somebody's ear? Here is the video which is nothing like what we saw when the mean dog attacked Buster.

Little goat can't have my food

This little goat (see the picture) is always around my mom when she is trying to feed us at night. I tried to push her a couple time but my mom is not happy when I do that and she says "she is not a goat". Now, everyone is a goat in my world.

Hot summer day with plenty of cool spots

Another hot day. There are not many cool spots to eat. Mom got us out again and found us a nice shaded area. I got tangled with my chain for over a hour and finally she came and rescued me, yet again. The area is full of green stuff for us to eat. We are in heaven. So much leaves, not enough time.

Another sunny and hot day eating flowers

This morning it was so hot we did not want to go out of our house. We went out early (around 6am), to eat. The air is nice and cool. Mom came and gave Buster his daily dose of grains with some white stuff in it. Mom took us out later to a nice cool spot full of yellow flowers.

Buster scary ordeal

Buster is very scared. He got 2 shots in the ass on Saturday and now he doesn't trust anybody. He also got his head cleaned and washed after he got tied to the tree. I know my mom is trying to help him. He was all bloody. He spends most of his time in his house. He doesn't feel good. mom comes to check on him but twice a day she comes with some liquid and forces it down his troat. Finally he decided to hide in the bushes.

Nasty day in a life of a goat

We had some excitement tonight, actually Buster was the one who suffered. He was attacked by a vicious dog.  The beast got hold of Buster's ear and now Buster's ear is torn off. When it happened mom was so scared and was trying to get the dog away. People came to help out with the rescue and everyone was screaming at the dog to let got. Mom then tried to take us back to our house, she was afraid we were going to be next. We are so curious, we wanted to see what was going on. Finally after 10 minutes, dad took a piece of wood and hit the dog on top of the head. The dog was knocked out. Here is a picture of Buster bandaged.

Europeen animals

Our mom was missing for 4 weeks and she finally came home the other day. We were so happy to see her. During her trip she saw many animals (Donkeys, Baudets du Poitou, Moutons d'Ouessant, etc...). This is the picture of a mini sheep that you can only find on the West Coast of France in some island near Britany.

Fire are nice and warm

At night, the branches that have no more leaves on them (thanks to us), are being burn in a fire. On that picture I am looking for some possible leaves that have gotten away.

Dinner with extra

This is the grain we like to eat every night. It is like our milk and cookie before bed time. Tonight my mom added some cold baked potatoes.

What we can do with goat hair?

The birds are using our hair to make nests. Here is an example my uncle Ron found by our house.

Avocado face

My mom has been feeding us avocado skins. The skin gives us green mouths. Here is Titan with his beautiful oily nose.

9:30pm and we are out and about

The outside light is so bright that it feels like daylight. We like to jump and sleep on our stands. Also it is Saturday night and we do not want to go to sleep.

Me, the Star

Do you like this picture of me? Who is this person in the background? Or no, she is messing up the shot! Get out of here!

I eat everything

This is me with a box in my mouth. Do you recognize the logo? This is my favorite brand of cigarettes. The smell of tobacco: "I love!". I eat anything I found. Did you know that paper is made out of trees. I love trees.

Titan and Buster are still skidish around people

This weekend, the little girl wanted to be nice to my brothers. As soon as she would come over, they would start running. They are still skidish around people. It took close to a year for them to get use to our mom.

We have a routine

Today , Monday, we spent all day working on the new scotch broom. We like to eat. When we found out mom was home, we went by the gate and waited for her to come and get us. She got us out and noticed that Titan and Buster's belly were bigger than usual. When it got dark and we were ready to go to bed, we followed our mom to the house to get her daily grains. It is recommended to feed grains to goats. We get a mix, which has protein, fat, vitamins, etc...

Clearing the yard (part 2)

Sunday: Another fun day but we had a little rain. We were outside eating some more blackberry bushes. When we came back we did not recognize the pen. Where all the dead scotch brooms were standing before, there was nothing. It was clear. My brother and I, looked around. We did not recognize the place. Even the wood board that we like to sit in the sun in the morning (sun is good for goats, they need Vitamin D. Always place the goat house with the door facing South) had moved.

Clearing the yard (part 1)

Saturday we had a fun day, hanging around my mom and all the people that came to visit. We like people and the people like us. When we came back to our pen in the evening, we discover a different pen. I could not believe it. My mom walked amongst the scotch broom and waived at me to come close. I walked toward her, where the wire used to be, there was nothing. I looked on the right, I looked on the left, nothing! I was in disbelieve. We have more room and more work to do. Earlier in the day, I played with the little girl. She is friendly. She brushed my hair, put her hand on my nose and gave me kisses. I wanted to drink was she was drinking. It tasted like strawberry juice. My mom tried to take a picture of my red mouth but I would not let her. I hate paparazzi! They get in your your face all day....

Blackberry bushes are our favorite

Look all the work we have done. This place was full of blackberry bushes but now it is almost all gone. We love the leaves and if you want them gone forever, you still have to pull the roots out. That is the way you can control it.

Remember, we need water

We need water just like everybody else. My mom make sure that we have water in the morning. When we eat leaves that are wet (we really do not like wet food) from the morning dew, we get our water but on a sunny, hot day, we need water.
